Search for UGC rates and you will find twenty American guides quoting the same numbers at each other. What you will not find is what a brand in Manchester or Dubai actually pays, or what a creator in an emerging market can realistically charge a Western client. This guide covers all of it, with sources you can check.
The one-line summary by market
| Market | Typical per video | Median / most common |
|---|---|---|
| United States | $150 – $300 | ~$175 |
| United Kingdom | £100 – £250 | ~£150 |
| UAE / Gulf | AED 600 – AED 2,000 | ~AED 900 (≈ $245) |
| Emerging markets (India, SEA, LATAM) | $25 – $120 | ~$40 |
"The average price for a single UGC video falls somewhere between $150 and $212, though the median rate, around $175, gives a clearer picture of what most content creators actually earn." — Influee, UGC Rates 2026
The emerging-market row comes partly from our own marketplace: on InfluencerMetric's India platform, live rate cards for UGC video currently list between roughly $40 and $175 equivalent, with most sitting near the bottom of that band. That gap between markets is not a detail. It is the entire arbitrage that makes remote UGC work, in both directions.
Why the Gulf pays more than its size suggests
The UAE number surprises people. The explanation is structural: Gulf brands are used to premium marketing costs, customer values in categories like real estate, hospitality and finance are enormous, and the supply of licensed local creators is small. Which brings up the thing most rate guides published outside the region completely miss.
Since 1 February 2026, publishing paid promotional content from inside the UAE requires an Advertiser Permit from the UAE National Media Authority. The permit is free for UAE citizens and residents for the first three years, and publishing without one carries a fine of AED 10,000 for a first offence under the UAE media law penalty schedule. For creators this is paperwork. For rates, it is a price support: every compliance requirement shrinks the eligible supply, and smaller supply means licensed UAE creators charge more. If you are UAE based and permitted, say so in your rate card. It is a premium feature.
The add-ons that matter more than the base rate
Across all three Western markets, the real money is in the line items, not the headline number:
- Paid usage rights. The standard premium is 30 to 50 percent of the base rate for extended ad usage. A $200 video with 90 days of paid usage is a $260 to $300 invoice, and that is normal, not greedy.
- Extra hooks. Brands testing ads often want three or four alternative opening lines for one video. The going rate is $50 to $100 per additional hook. This is the highest-margin work in UGC: minutes of filming, real money.
- Bundles. Five or more videos from one shoot typically discounts 15 to 25 percent. Fair for both sides, since setup time dominates a single-video shoot.
- Rush delivery. Under 48 hours commands 25 to 50 percent extra everywhere.
What this means if you are a creator
- In the US or UK: price at the median for your tier, not the floor. Brands filter out suspiciously cheap creators as much as expensive ones.
- In the Gulf: get the Advertiser Permit while it is free, list it visibly, and price above the Western median. Licensed local supply is scarce and brands know it.
- In an emerging market selling to Western brands: your competitive price is not your local rate, and it is not the US rate either. Creators charging around 60 to 70 percent of the US median, with strong English delivery and fast turnaround, win consistent repeat work.
What this means if you are a brand
Budget $200 per video for reliable US or UK quality, AED 900 in the Gulf from licensed creators, and treat anything dramatically cheaper as a portfolio-building offer rather than a standard. And always agree usage rights upfront: the most common UGC dispute is a brand running a video as a paid ad that the creator priced for organic use.

Frequently asked questions
How much does one UGC video cost in 2026?
In the US, typically $150 to $300 with a median around $175. In the UK, around £100 to £250. In the UAE, AED 600 to 2,000 depending on licensing and experience. Emerging-market creators serving global brands typically charge $25 to $120.
Do UGC creators need followers to charge these rates?
No. UGC is priced on content quality, not audience size, because the brand posts the video on its own channels or runs it as an ad.
What is a fair usage rights fee?
30 to 50 percent of the base rate for a defined paid-usage window is the accepted standard. Perpetual usage should cost meaningfully more than a 90-day window.
Why do UAE creators charge more?
Premium brand budgets, high customer values, and since February 2026 a mandatory UAE National Media Authority Advertiser Permit that limits eligible supply. Scarcity plus compliance equals higher rates.
